GO FOR THE GREEN
Unlike the 2010 competition, finalists are divided into two categories—established and emerging designers—with top prizes of €25,000 and €15,000, respectively. After submitting business plans that explain how their enterprises jibe with wildlife conservation, each designer will present three outfits on the catwalk of Amsterdam Fashion Week in January. And while it doesn’t behoove us to play favorites, a special shout-out to friend-of-Ecouterre Carrie Parry, the only American designer to make the cut.
