To create her “Braille” collection, Paschoud experimented with two- and three-dimensional volumes that she restructured to flatter the human figure. They’re more than just body coverings, however. Clad in saturated tones of anthracite, ruby, bottle green, and petrol blue, her pieces form a cohesive narrative about structure, manipulation, and craftsmanship.

Ethics and sustainability are also key players in her namesake label. “This is the only way I allow myself to work,” she says. “I could not imagine producing garments without knowing that they are made in the least harmful way possible.” While she’s the first to admit that her supply chain isn’t perfect—whose is?—Paschoud has plans to collaborate with other designers, artisans, and craftspeople even as she boosts her own sustainability credentials.
Clothes, she says, should be a “respectful” continuation of oneself: “ethical, comfortable, and beautiful…through every moment in life.”
